Electrical Safety Inspections

Electrical Safety Inspections in Kirkwood & Arnold, MO

Licensed electricians for home and commercial electrical safety inspections, panel checks, outlet testing, wiring reviews, GFCI testing, grounding checks, and code-related recommendations. Exceptional Electric serves Kirkwood, Arnold, St. Louis County, Jefferson County, and nearby communities with careful inspections and clear next steps.

Find Electrical Hazards Before They Become Expensive Repairs

An electrical safety inspection gives you a clearer picture of what is happening behind the switches, outlets, panel, and visible wiring. It is useful when you are buying or selling a property, planning a remodel, adding equipment, dealing with flickering lights, or trying to understand repeated breaker trips.

Exceptional Electric inspects residential and commercial systems for common safety concerns, including outdated wiring, overloaded circuits, damaged devices, missing GFCI protection, grounding problems, exposed conductors, panel issues, and installation defects.

When an inspection uncovers a problem, we can explain the repair path and help with related services such as code corrections, electrical wiring services, electrical panel repair, electrical grounding services, and GFCI outlet installation.

What We Check During an Electrical Inspection

Our electricians look at the parts of the system that often affect safety, reliability, and inspection outcomes: panel condition, breaker sizing, visible wiring, junction boxes, outlets, switches, GFCI devices, grounding, bonding, lighting circuits, smoke detector power where applicable, and signs of heat, arcing, damage, or improper work.

For older Kirkwood homes, Arnold properties, remodels, rental units, offices, and light commercial spaces, we focus on practical findings. You get clear communication about what looks safe, what should be repaired, and what may need an upgrade before new equipment or a sale moves forward.

If the inspection points to capacity or protection issues, we may recommend electrical panel upgrades, breaker and fuse work, outlet and circuit repairs, or surge protection installation.

Home, Business & Real Estate Electrical Inspections

Electrical inspections are helpful for homeowners, buyers, sellers, landlords, property managers, business owners, remodelers, and anyone seeing warning signs. They are especially important before adding large appliances, EV charging, hot tubs, generators, finished basements, additions, workshops, or new business equipment.

  • Safety inspections for residential electrical systems in older and newer homes
  • Inspection support for commercial electrical systems, offices, retail spaces, and small facilities
  • Panel, breaker, outlet, wiring, grounding, GFCI, lighting, and device review
  • Recommendations for code corrections, repairs, maintenance, and practical upgrades

Schedule an Electrical Safety Inspection Before Small Issues Become Hazards

Small warning signs can point to bigger electrical risks. Warm outlets, buzzing switches, burning smells, flickering lights, dead receptacles, tripping breakers, open grounds, missing GFCI protection, and exposed wiring should be inspected before they become fire, shock, or equipment-damage hazards.

Tell us whether you need an inspection for a home purchase, property sale, remodel, business space, maintenance plan, insurance request, inspection report, or recurring electrical problem. We will help schedule the right visit and explain what the electrician will review.

I hired Exceptional Electric to install a ceiling fan (replacing old) and run a number of highspeed networking wires in my home. It took a few days doe to the data runs routing them up a wall thru the attic then down another wall and into the basement where I manage the end points. I am very happy with the work done.

This company was sent by my home warranty company so I didn’t pay them directly, but Sage was very professional and efficient. I would highly recommend Exceptional Electric. The technician that came back to install the ceiling fan did an excellent job with the installation and clean up. He even swept up the mess after himself which I truly appreciated!

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about electrical safety inspections, panel checks, GFCI testing, grounding, real estate inspection repairs, or when to call a licensed electrician? Here are answers homeowners and businesses usually need before scheduling.

An electrical safety inspection may include review of the electrical panel, breakers, visible wiring, outlets, switches, GFCI devices, grounding, bonding, lighting circuits, junction boxes, signs of overheating, exposed conductors, and other safety concerns. The electrician explains findings and recommends repairs or upgrades when needed.

Schedule an inspection when buying or selling a property, planning a remodel, adding major equipment, preparing a rental, responding to an inspection report, or noticing warning signs like flickering lights, tripping breakers, warm outlets, buzzing switches, burning smells, or dead receptacles.

Yes. Exceptional Electric provides safety inspections for homes, rental properties, offices, retail spaces, small commercial facilities, and other local properties in Kirkwood, Arnold, St. Louis County, Jefferson County, and nearby communities.

Yes. If a home inspector or city inspection report flags electrical concerns, a licensed electrician can review the issue, explain the repair options, and help with needed code corrections, device replacements, grounding repairs, wiring repairs, or panel work.

Yes. If the inspection finds unsafe devices, loose connections, missing GFCI protection, open grounds, overloaded circuits, damaged wiring, or panel issues, Exceptional Electric can provide the appropriate repair or upgrade. Common follow-up services include wiring repairs, outlet and circuit work, and panel upgrades.

Many properties benefit from an inspection every few years, but older homes, rental properties, commercial spaces, homes with frequent electrical issues, and properties planning major upgrades may need inspections more often. A licensed electrician can recommend a practical schedule based on the property condition and use.

Do not ignore burning odors, buzzing switches, warm outlets, frequent breaker trips, flickering lights, sparks, damaged cords, exposed wiring, dead receptacles, GFCI devices that will not reset, or panels that show rust, heat damage, missing covers, or crowded wiring.
