Breaker Box Repair in Kirkwood & Arnold, MO

Safe Breaker Box Repair for Homes & Businesses

Your breaker box is the control center for the electrical circuits in your property. When breakers keep tripping, lights flicker, a breaker will not reset, or the panel feels warm, the issue can be a failing breaker, loose connection, overloaded circuit, damaged wiring, or a larger panel problem.

Exceptional Electric provides professional breakers and fuses service, circuit breaker repair, and electrical panel repair for homeowners and businesses in Kirkwood, Arnold, and nearby St. Louis communities.

Our electricians inspect the breaker box, test the circuit, look for heat or damaged components, and explain whether repair is the right solution—or whether panel replacement or an electrical panel upgrade is safer for the long term.

Diagnose Breaker Trips, Hot Breakers & Panel Damage

Breaker problems should not be ignored. A breaker that trips repeatedly may be doing its job by protecting the circuit, but it may also point to a hidden electrical fault, overloaded wiring, a failing device, or damage inside the breaker box.

Exceptional Electric checks the breaker, bus connection, circuit load, wiring condition, grounding, and visible signs of overheating before making a recommendation. We can replace damaged breakers, tighten safe connections, correct wiring issues, and help with electrical safety inspections or code corrections when an inspection report or safety concern is involved.

If the breaker box is outdated, corroded, undersized, or unsafe to repair, we will explain the difference between a repair, replacement, subpanel, or full panel upgrade.

Repair First When It Is Safe, Replace or Upgrade When It Is Not

Not every breaker box problem requires a full replacement. Some issues can be repaired safely with the right breaker, wiring correction, load balancing, or device replacement. Other problems are warning signs that the panel is no longer safe or no longer sized for the property.

Stop Ignoring Breaker Trips, Heat or Burning Smells

Breaker box warning signs can become fire hazards, shock risks, power loss, damaged electronics, or failed inspections. If you notice repeated trips, buzzing, scorch marks, rust, a burning smell, or a breaker that will not reset, schedule service before the issue gets worse.

Tell us what changed, which breaker is affected, and whether the problem happens with a specific appliance, room, outlet, or business equipment. We will help schedule the right service visit and send a technician prepared to troubleshoot the issue safely.

I hired Exceptional Electric to install a ceiling fan (replacing old) and run a number of highspeed networking wires in my home. It took a few days doe to the data runs routing them up a wall thru the attic then down another wall and into the basement where I manage the end points. I am very happy with the work done.

This company was sent by my home warranty company so I didn’t pay them directly, but Sage was very professional and efficient. I would highly recommend Exceptional Electric. The technician that came back to install the ceiling fan did an excellent job with the installation and clean up. He even swept up the mess after himself which I truly appreciated!

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about breaker box repair, tripping breakers, warm panels, fuse boxes, panel replacement, safety inspections, or when to call a licensed electrician? Here are answers homeowners and businesses usually need before scheduling service.

Breaker box repair starts with diagnostics. The electrician checks the breaker, circuit load, wiring condition, connections, panel condition, and warning signs such as heat, corrosion, buzzing, or scorch marks. Repairs may include replacing faulty breakers, correcting wiring issues, tightening safe connections, balancing loads, or recommending panel repair when needed.

Common warning signs include breakers that trip often, breakers that will not reset, flickering lights, buzzing sounds, burning smells, warm breakers, scorch marks, rust, or power loss in part of the home or business. These symptoms should be checked by a licensed electrician.

Yes. Breaker box repair focuses on fixing specific issues in the existing panel, such as a bad breaker, damaged connection, or circuit problem. Panel replacement means removing the old panel and installing a new one, which may be recommended if the panel is unsafe, obsolete, damaged, corroded, or too small for the property.

Yes. Exceptional Electric can replace compatible circuit breakers when the panel condition, circuit wiring, and load are safe for repair. If a breaker keeps tripping after replacement, the real issue may be an overloaded circuit, wiring fault, appliance issue, or panel problem that needs further troubleshooting.

That depends on the age, condition, capacity, and safety of the existing breaker box. Repair may be enough for an isolated breaker or connection issue. An electrical panel upgrade may be better if the panel is full, undersized, outdated, damaged, or not ready for EV chargers, generators, additions, remodels, or modern appliances.

Yes. Breaker trips can be caused by damaged wiring, loose connections, short circuits, ground faults, overloaded circuits, faulty devices, or appliance problems. If wiring is the cause, Exceptional Electric can help with electrical wiring services, grounding checks, outlet repairs, or code corrections.

Yes. Exceptional Electric provides breaker box repair and troubleshooting for homeowners, property managers, offices, shops, small businesses, and light commercial spaces in Kirkwood, Arnold, St. Louis County, Jefferson County, and nearby communities.
